Monday Night Random Ten Edition

I had a rather nice weekend and I got to see my long lost friend J-Ho on Friday, Sunday, and tonight!!!! Dinner tonight was excellent w/ J-Ho & Silk, hosted by the Feisty Liberal, thanks again!!! I'm thinking of having a "poster party" Sunday night to make signs to protest the arrival of Dubya on Monday. All in favor, show up.

1. Everything Zen - Bush from Sixteen Stone. Good starter, haven't heard this one in a while.

2. Finally Made It (Interlude) - Mary J. Blige from Love & Life. I normally don't like the intro/outro/interludes but this one is aight.

3. Pussycat - Missy Elliot from Under Construction. The first time I heard this I laughed out loud. I can always count on Missy to come up with some silly ass lyrics. If you don't know this song, please inquire.

4. She's Leaving Home - The Beatles from Sgt. Peppers. Ah, a nice depressing song in the middle of the RT. Nonetheless, always good to hear the Beatles.

5. Sleep To Dream - Fiona Apple from Tidal. Oh hell yeah, I love this track/album. This is another one that came out during my turbulent teenaged years. I really like Fiona's voice and her piano skillz.

6. Don't Know How - Joss Stone from Mind, Body & Soul. This song is dedicated to the fine ass male nurse (yeah, haha, just like Meet The Parents, like he's never heard that one before) that I drool over while working on Saturdays. I would love to make him mine, however I am too shy to pursue it.

7. Disappointment - The Cranberries from No Need To Argue. Good song, I like Delores O'Riordan's voice. These guys put on a killer live performance too.

8. Where Did Our Love Go - The Supremes from Motown: The Classic Years. Hells yeah, great song, great group, great era for music!!!!!!!!!! Who doesn't love this group?

9. Track 10 - Mark Farina from a random Mark Farina mix I stole off Kazaa. A classic Mark Farina groove with female vocals that sound a lot like Lady Miss Kier from Dee Lite.

10. Staring Problem - No Doubt from Return Of Saturn. This track is okay.

Bonus Track since #10 didn't do much for me: Superstitious - Stevie Wonder from another random Kazaa mix. Love this freakin' song. Great funk riffs on guitar, coupled w/ a dope ass bass groove, and kick ass drum beat.

The End,
Medusa J

Can we have poster party sunday night if chief's gig is sunday night? I was thinking no, course I was also thinking I'd be drinking. This Bush thing is getting hectic for me, partially b/c the time is all down low, fascist bitches. I work sat 1-8 and all day sunday and then chief. so i dunno.

Oh shyte, I forgot about Cheif's gig. He's the early show, and some drunken posters might be better anyways!!! I talked to my friend that has some connections at one of the local news channels and she's gonna see if she can find out a time of his arrival. Sons of bitches.
