Killing Time

I'm just waiting on my locks to dry so I thought I'd do some blogging. I had a very busy, yet extremely fun weekend. It all started out Friday at a bar down in Brunswick (yeah, I know) to see Aphrodite's Hero, starring Lego. It was a nice sized place, I sat alone on a leather coach w/ a great view of the band. I was enjoying myself, but I always feel weird/awkward in such a homogeneous environment, like it's not natural for there to be NO culture in a place. Anyways, some drunk guy was hitting on me toward the end of the night and introducing me to his friends as Tracey, even w/ repeated prompting of my actual name. This is why I sit/hang out alone at bars, drunk people are difficult to communicate with, especially if you are not drunk.

Let's see, Saturday was mostly a lazy day around the house, counting down until game night was to begin. And a great game night it turned out to be. We waited until the very end of Cranium to actually read the directions, only to find out we played it wrong, but it was still fun. Taj cooked up some mean Injin food as per usual, had us all sweating by the time the games were to begin. A good number of people were in attendance. Lego was de-virginized to a game night w/ the OC crew and friends, and I must say he fit in quite well at the festivities. J-Ho and myself had a discussion regarding FUPA's and both decided it is quite alright to hunt them and photograph them for other's entertainment. In fact, I hate to say this, and mean no disrespect, but there was a FUPA in attendance at game night. Any guesses?

Following game night was old-school hip-hop night at touch. I danced my ass off and my sweater was soaked by the end of the night. I ran into quite a few people I know from around the way, and it was good to see them. I had an excellent dance partner, one whom was not drunk and did not try to touch/grab me in any way/shape/form, which I greatly appreciated. By the end of the night Salexis was in prime form, getting snippy w/ everyone as she does when she's loaded. Gotta love Salexis in beer mode. Good times.

Sunday was a rough day. Lego borrowed my couch and we did not go to sleep until around 5 AM because we were looking up information on FUPA's. We found out that FUPA stands for "Fat Upper Pelvic Area" and we found some apparel to boot. I was back up around 10AM. I had to drive out to N. Ridgeville by noon to do some recording w/ the legendary Lost State Of Franklin for their new album. It was a lot of fun and a great experience to actually do some studio work as opposed to live shows and/or jam nights. I am very thankful to Scott and the rest of the band (David, Rob & Tyler) for including me on this album, it's an honor. I'll keep you posted as to when it will be completed and available for sale.

I stopped at Target on my drive home and bought a much needed area rug for my living room, as well as a runner rug for the dining room. I also grabbed some odds n' things, as I always do when I go to Target. As soon as I got home I hit the sack until Monday. I was draggin' ass at work all day yesterday, but made it. I slept from the time I got home until it was time to go to work today. And this my friends, pretty much sums up the last few days of my life. Until next time....

I apologize on behalf of Brunswick. Surprisingly there are some cool folks there, I am just horrible at introducing people. Game night was a blast, and I am not going to give away the FUPA in attendance, but it was in full effect. Also...I am a master speller, I hadn't noticed I was pointing it out, I will refrain from such behavior. Sorry for the long comment, but is was an extra long blog. Thanks for the inclusion in your life however I am very thankful.
