I was harassed at work regarding my lack of bloggage this weekend. It was very uneventful over here at the west five two, I do apologize. This one goes out to Ajae!!! Enjoy my friend, LOVE the new hair!!!
1. Electric Mile - G. Love & Special Sauce from Electric Mile. A great band, a great album, and a great song. These guys are performing at Bonaroo, anyone interested in making the trip for a weekend music festival? Live music, camping, hippies, etc. etc., let me know!!
2. Space Funk - Goldie from INCredible Sound of drum 'n' Bass Disc 1. If you like drum & bass, you will enjoy this track, as well as both discs. I got hip to Goldie just prior to my departure from West Philly to the land of Cleve, good shit man.
3. Maybe Angels - Sheryl Crow from self titled album. This is a good song, I like the drum beat (of course). I find it odd that this song is all about "angels" and it came out right when that "Heaven's Gate" cult made the headlines back in '97. Apparently they all shaved their heads, had a roll of quarters in their pockets (for toll), and drank some poison laced Kool-Aid while they awaited the UFO's to pick them up. Does anyone else remember this?
4. Milk And Honey - Beck from Midnight Vultures. This entire album brings me back to winter 2000 in West Philly, Regent Square biatches!!!! Holy shit, what a wild ride that winter/spring brought about. And I'll leave it at that.
5. Maintain - Mark Farina from Mushroom Jazz 5. A great song, it's an instrumental w/ some phatty breaks. Not your run of the mill electronic dj here, check him out.
6. Back In One Piece - DMX/Alliyah from ????? Not sure where I found this one, but I like. I heard DMX is like 5'5, he and Eminem should team up. Vertically challenged hard core rappers unite!!!! R.I.P. Alliyah.
7. Morning Song - Jewel from Pieces Of You. What a romantic little ditty.
8. Slow Ride - Foghat from Dazed And Confused Soundtrack. For all those classic rock lovin' mullets out there, this one is for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
9. Tha Shiznit - Snoop Dogg from Doggy Style. Love this fucking song as well as the entire album. Who doesn't love this guy? I think this song is really about me, cause anyone who knows anything about anything, knows that I am "Tha Shiznit" and don't forget it!!!
10. I Will Always - The Cranberries from Everyone Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We? I enjoy Delores O'Riordan's melodic, yet a tad meloncholy, Irish accented voice.
Well, there it is. You've all been anxiously awaiting a new post, and thank you for your patience and understanding. Off to finish my bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Stay tuned for more.

Love your music taste!
Ajae, how did I know you'd be the one to remember that famous cult? Yes, they sported the Nike hi-tops and wore purple hoods/shourds/whatever, while they awaited the spaceships to come and take them away. However, I believe the leader's name was Marshall Applewhite. Perhaps you were thinking of the Tribe song, Bonita Applebaum?
A shout out to freethinker..thanks for enjoying my tunes!! Looks like you were having some fun on that cruise, I love reggae!!!!
