Silk & Piddy are on the road to Santa Fe, NM to pursue a new chapter in life. I've got the itch to move also, but I'm stuck here for a year w/ this new job. I think this time next year I will take the plunge & sign on w/ a traveling company & head out west. I feel like my 20's have been pissed away in this going nowhere city. Anyways, this one's for you guys, hope it's a good one!!!!!
1. Radar Love - Golden Earring from Wayne's World 2 Soundtrack. This is a great soundtrack, lots of good songs, can't say the same for the movie. This is an excellent driving song too!!!!
2. Take, Take, Take - White Stripes from Get Behind Me Satan. This one comes via Silk's collection. I like these guys, simple, yet good music.
3. Say Hello Wave Goodbye - David Gray from White Ladder. This one's a downer.
4. Track 11 - Propeller Heads from some mixed cd I ripped from Kazaa. I'm pretty sure this is the Jungle Brothers along w/ Propeller Heads doing a sweet track together. "I need a chick with big potatoes to mash." Sweet lyrics.
5. That's How Strong My Love Is - Taj Mahal from The Essential (2). I picked this double album up at the library a few weeks back, and I'm digging it. Nothing like some sweet blues on a Sunday morning.
6. You Got Me Wide Open - Bootsy Collins & Bernie Worrell from Friday Soundtrack. Good times, great movie, killer soundtrack.
7. Relating To A Psychopath - Macy Gray from another mixed disc ripped via Kazaa. This song is my anthem!!!!!!!
8. The $20 Sack Pyramid - Dr. Dre from The Chronic. This skit is HIGH-LARIOUS!!! Duck Mutha Fuckin Mouth and Bootney Lee Farnsworth playing for a damn sack o' weed and a gift certificate the Compton swap meet.
9. What's The Scenario Remix - Leaders Of The New School from one of my many oldschool mixes. Anyone remember these guys?????
10. N.E.S.T.A. (Never Ever Submit To Authority) - Antibalas Afrobeat Orchestra from Liberation Afro Beat Vol. 1. A good way to end. Remember this title, fuck the government!!!
There u have it guys. Hope your trip is safe & u get settled in quickly. I'm thinking about a visit Jan/Feb so I can get the fuck out of Cleveland's dead of winter slump.
Peace out,
Medusa Jones
