Weekend Review

So it's almost the weekend, but I thought I'd share how last weekend shook out. As predicted, it was a lot of fun. Friday night we hit up a venue in Chinatown to see the reknown DJ Mark Farina. LOVE HIM, and am so glad I finally got to witness him spinning/mac'ing his magic. Didn't stop moving all night. That was followed by a brief nap before waking at 6:30am to go out on a pontoon to the sandbar in the middle of the ocean. Yes, a sandbar in the middle of the ocean...well at least like 3 miles out from land. It's pretty sweet. Spent the day bbq'ing in 2 inches of water, snorkeling, frolicing, riding in the pontoon, etc. Good times. Needless to say Saturday night I was done for by 7:30pm and asleep until the next day. Sunday included resting and housework. Monday was another bbq, this one on land at a friend's place. Tuesday was back to work, and thank the blog gods it's a short week. Another fun filled weekend is in order damn it!!

Peace out,
MJ

Resurrection

This blog has all but died since moving to Hawaii, however today I begin my efforts to bring it back. The other day I was at Costco and I saw a midget. I immediately thought of Dr. J, Silk, and J-Ho, as well as the irony of a little person shopping at mega-bulk-huge Costco. I chuckled to myself and I tried to walk past and bump into her, my courage left me just before contact and I couldn't do it.

Another noteworthy event, I quit that god awful management job a couple months ago and returned to my old position working with kids. Way better. No screaming boss, just screaming kids, which I can totally dig. I pretty much drive, play, drive, play, and listen to KTUH (Univ of HI radio, google that shit, they've got some good shows, including DJ Tommy Fox of the Cleveo). It's a good gig.

This coming weekend is going to be off the hook with fun and excitement. I will wait to share in my resurection efforts. Let's just say it includes music, boats, ocean, etc. I mean, shit, I do live the island life.

To my music fans, I skipped the Merry Mixmas this year, the first in a long time. My apologies. I just find it hard to spend time searching for and stealing music then burning cds when I live in such a beautiful place. The main reason I'm blogging today is because I was being hit with waves of nausea at work and decided I should probably go home. Therefore I'm on the couch.

Well, that's all I have for now. If my 2 faithful readers, J-Ho & Silk, are out there, send me a shout out. Long live the West Five Two.

Peace out,
MJ
