Catching Up

Whew, blogging is hard in Hawaii! Anyhow, a quick update for the readers. It's still sunny and 80 everyday, give or take a few degrees. Seeing that it's winter, it gets down to the mid 60's at night. I now consider this "cold" and am wearing sweatpants and along sleeved t-shirt as I type. I'm catching up on The Wire, rocking the 4th season & enjoying it. Gotta love public libraries, although rentals are a dollar here, wah wah.

I've started working again, been orienting to the job for the last three weeks, am covering someones vacation for the next two weeks, then will go down to part-time, which is a good thing. This job is boring & not what I would like to be doing, but it's a starting point. I'd much rather be surrounded by crazy people that are not physically sick or medically fragile. Instead I get to look at gravity succumbed tits, asses, and scrotums of the 60 and over crowd. Wowza. Nothing like watching and helping a naked 74 year old Hawaiian born Chinese lady shower as she tells me that "Punani" is the Hawaiian word for "vagina" and that "shi shi" means "pee pee" in this great state. I'm sore when I get home from trying to help decrepit ass old heads transfer from various surfaces and dress themselves. I'm in it for the paycheck and the benefits people, and that's it.

Otherwise, Hawaii is wonderful. I'm looking forward to my part-time schedule so I can get back out and play.

One Love,
Medusa J

Aloha The Bus

If there are any readers left, do I have something special for you! I've been enjoying life on an island and haven't felt too inspired to write much, mostly because being inside is not something I do a lot of anymore. I've recently gotten back into the work force and am exploring Oahu's public transportation system, The Bus. It's quite good, gets me to work in less time/stress than driving, get to observe some characters, and feel what it's like to be a minority for the first time in my life. For the most part, it feels no different, I am still Medusa Jones, but I am aware for the first time ever. I've always felt that we are all on race, human, and we're all here together so we should treat each other with respect. Well my friends, let me get to the point of this blog posting. The mullet is apparently the hairstyle of the state of Hawaii and I laid eyes on the wildest mullet I've ever seen. Mahalo to this native for making my day.
